Vocalist Kami Van Halst comments:
“We are very excited to be apart of the fundraiser for the Because I Am A Girl foundation. Because I Am A Girl is a global initiative working to end gender inequality. This is something very important to us, we speak a lot about feminism in our music and believe that no one should be held back from achieving their potential due to gender or sex.”

A fierce, empowering force of hard rock fused with metal with strong socially conscious lyrics and advocacy for female rights, VAN HALST recently released their debut album ‘World of Make Believe’ on March 4th, 2016, which is now available on iTunes and Bandcamp.

VAN HALST, a project that first began as a solo endeavour for whom the band is named after — Kami Van Halst, has since become a full group producing socially conscious, lyrical tracks that focus on disenfranchised and marginalized populations. The band’s influences stay true to goth rock with Kami Van Halst demonstrating an agile vocal delivery in combination with pummeling growls. Lyrically, the band draws from black metal due to its focus on people suffering from isolation and rising to overcome the preconceptions of a judgmental society. In This Moment’s industrial fusion remains a primary influence for Van Halst, employing a sampler, synthesizer, and distorted vocals.
Kami Van Halst dominates as the vocalist performing both growls and soaring vocals (Surviving Suzanne), Scott Greene (Derina Harvey Band/Dirty Pool) and Strathon J. Bajowsky (Havok Way) craft the guitar work while Brendan McMillan (bass) (My Darkest Days) and Brett Seaton (drums) (Cultured by Fire) drive the rhythm section of the band. Kami’s range and virtuosic vocal ability always captivates an audience and her attitude on stage truly delivers the meaning behind the songs. The main writing forces for the band are Kami and Scott working together to give listeners a vivid image of social injustices. The band’s live performance is a theatric experience as the utilize full-costumes, make-up and stage props.

It’s been two years since Vancouver, BC’s WITHOUT MERCY last EP ‘Reborn’ savaged the lands of Canadian metal. After hitting the studio with a new vocalist Alex Friis and bass tracks recorded by Tristan Martin and live performance being done by Ryan Loewen, the band is ready to unleash its latest offering ‘Mouichido’, a re-release of re-recorded material from their 2014 EP ‘Reborn’. Newly added to EP is also a guest appearance by vocalist Mark Hunter of Chimaira on track ‘In Waves’. ‘Mouichido’ is set for release on May 27th, 2016 and is available for pre-order at the following linkhttps://withoutmercy.bandcamp.com/album/mouichido.

“’Mouichido’ is the Japanese word for “Repeat” or “to do one more time”.  We chose this as the title to signify the re-release of a previous version of this record. After the release ‘Reborn’, we faced an issue with our vocalist, which caused us to part ways with him.  On the advice of our legal team, we recorded the album again with our current vocalist in an effort to terminate possible legal action.” says  Band founder and guitarist DJ Temple. “In addition to that, I hold close ties with Japanese culture so I thought it would be the perfect time to introduce those lines into our music.  Facing the incredible difficulty with the last record and the way the vocalist departed the band, the stress was compounded by the financial burden left with a record we couldn’t release.  By venturing back to some of my martial art roots, I found the strength to maintain my tenacity and get the record back on track.  The result, is “Mouichido”. Fans should receive this as the ultimate reason to never give up. Take the aggressive nature of the songs and allow the culture of the Japanese writing to envelop you in a way that will carry you through each track. Let this EP be the story that inspires you to push through something difficult and come out the other side a stronger and more experienced person.”
The band’s first video ‘Worthless’ can be viewed at the following link:

About:

Tenacity, work ethic and originality. There’s no excuses anymore.

Vancouver-based Without Mercy certainly stays true to its name. Ruthless and menacing, these Canadian metal titans have cultivated and redefined the phrase, “Fuck Pussy Metal”.

Founded in 2004, Without Mercy has gone from strength to strength over the years. They released their first EP “All Else Fails” in 2007 completely independently and used its humble beginnings to start the catapulting of performances, internet presence and radio play. In 2009, Without Mercy went on to record their self-titled full length album using the same team that worked on records by Devin Townsend, Mudvayne, and Marilyn Manson.  Without Mercy rode the attention wave of their self-titled debut, using the escalation to begin a relentless performance schedule that would lead them far from their hometown and include over 200 live performances.  No stranger to tenacity, in only a few short years Without Mercy have achieved; being the only indie metal band in Western Canada to have two tracks available on Rock Band 3, being featured in Tattoo Savage Magazine, and pioneering the phrases, ‘You Smell Like A Bitch’ and ‘Fuck Pussy Metal’ – which have now become synonymous with the band.

In 2014, Without Mercy unleashed third studio release, “Reborn”.  Another massive evolution for the band, Without Mercy sought to bring back the organic metal sound and combine it with a high production standard.  Fast forward to 2016, some line up changes with a new vocalist and bassist, the band is ready to share with fans re-recorded material from ‘Reborn’ on their new EP ‘Mouichido’ that even features Chimaira vocalist Mark Hunter on their track ‘In Waves’. The EP is set to be unleashed on May 27th, 2016 and will be supported with a steady rotation of touring and appearances across Canada and the USA. All of course, independently.

Tehnical compliance is brougt to ideal, acoustic is great, production is awesome. This album will take you to a world of death, apocylpse, chaos, destruction, pure trash metal power.

Proscenium realised the song ‘’The Betrayal’’

Proscenium realised the song ‘’The Betrayal’’

proscenium, betrayal

Welsh Power Symphonic metal band realised thier new song ‘’The Betrayal’’.Also check out their other songs  ‘’ The Hangman’’ and  ‘’ Pantomime (Theatre of Dreams)’’.

This song is tehnically brought to ideal, acoustic is great, production is awesome. The grow vocals are fitted phenomenally with the song, The lead singer  Lee, with his unugie and special voice made this song more interesting. On the album there are generic sounds that are integrated phenomenally with the song too. The song is about love, hatred and it talks about feeling hurt by the one your love, the dark emotions of betrayal, a disappointment, because you know you made a big mistake, and them hell is unleashed. Awesome song, with great vocals. Pure symphonic atmosphere, with ultimate symphonic metal masters. Enjoy the song.
