Genre: Heavy Metal/Hard Rock

1.How the band started?

Stryctnyne started in the early part of the 80’s, in Farmingdale, NY, when Samson James met G.Cyco. Eventually Johnny Scac came along on vocals. The band started with a different drummer, who I replaced. Then, in the early 90’s, I left the band. The new rebirth of Stryctnyne is back to the “original” members. I am the current, and last, drummer, TK Sabatino.

2.Which band is your role model?

For me, it was Led Zep, AC/DC, Yes, The Who…I was a rocker. I hadn’t really gotten into Metal. But Stryctnyne, is a melding of many different types of music. That’s what makes it unique. When yopu hear Stryctnyne, you hear influences of King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Monowar, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, all sorts of types of Metal and Rock.

3.What do you think about today’s metal scene?

There’s some real talent out there, and some really cool things being done in the local clubs. I listen to Avenge Sevenfold, Five Finger Death Punch, Metallica, Volbeat, Slayer…they are all kicking ass.

4.How would you describe in one sentence your work?

Explosive Heavy Metal.

5.Why did you decide to play this musical direction?

This type of music moves us, get’s us pumped and the feed back from the crowd is like no other.

6.Where would you most like to play a concert?

Madison Square Garden would be awesome, but there are a few local places, very large places, that are cool to play in.

7.Do you think that the metal festivals are enough visited?

I’ve been to some festivals, and there has always been a pretty large crowd. It really depends on the line-up.

8.What are you listening to the most right now?

I listen to Avenge Sevenfold, Five Finger Death Punch, Metallica, Volbeat, Slayer…

9.What would you say to your fans?

Our fans are amazing. they have been with us from back-in-the-day, to today. They’ve been with us a long time. I’d say, thank you, we love you guys, and we’ll see you out in the clubs. For those fans out of the area, keep an eye out for new music.

10.What are your plans for the future?

We are in pre-production for a new CD, and in the studio writing new material. We have a show coming up in January, which will be our CD release party, and we are looking for new and exciting opportunities as they come.

Calgary, AB’s KREPITUS are challenging the relationship between death and thrash metal with their trademark downtrodden technical riffs and fierce aggressive vocals. They have been constantly playing with opposing elements and creating a stable compound of death-fused thrash since their beginnings in 2013. Three years in the making, the bone crushing four piece are proud to unleash their debut album ‘The Eyes of The Soulless’ out now as of November 25th for FREE download via the band’s Bandcamp at the following link

4. Sharpen the Blade (5:33)
5. Eyes of the Soulless (6:16)
6. Desolate Isolation (5:39)
7. Erroneous (4:55)
8. My Desdemona (6:04)
Album Length: 46:32

For more info, please visit:

KREPITUS is comprised of Teran Wyer performing double duty on guitar and vocals; a tortured soul bound to his music. Matt Van Wezel is the second sniper, hitting each guitar note with precision and complementing the already harmonious riffs. Curtis Beardy pulls the tone down to the depths of hell with his steady hand and low register bass riffs. Finally, Harley “Rage” D’orazio kicks everything into overdrive possessed by grinding rhythms and accenting every solo on his drum kit.

Each member stands like a pillar; strong and sure in their own sound, but all standing to support the structure that is Krepitus. They have since performed with acts like Expain, Depths of Hatred, and Aegaeon and have competed in the Wacken Metal Battle Canada while writing their debut album.

Worstenemy (Italy) Enters the Studio!

WORSTENEMY (Italian Death Metal) will start recording their new album at Mathlab Studio with producer Jonny Mazzeo on November the 27th.

WORSTENEMY Video Announcement

“WORSTENEMY, active since 1997, are born from the ashes of Karnak in Oristano city (Sardinia). In 1998 the band leaves the thrash cover repertory and career into a new dimension of Death Metal, Florida style. WORSTENEMY kick off their live shows playing some of the most prestigious venues in Sardinia. Soon the band draw the attention of fans and of metal music industry thanks to the great blasting impact and true attitude. In November 2000 the band recorded their 1st self titled (and self-produced) demo at Ziggurath in Porto Torres. The demo contains 4 tracks: Strange Life, Karnak (Darkness In Me), Perverse Mind, New Enemy. From here on, WORSTENEMY became a well known name in the Sardinia metal scene. After a relentless live schedule and the distribution of the 1st demo, in 2003 the band start recording 2 new tracks (“Spectrum” and “Master Of Souls”) at Ziggurath studios. Soon followed by another track “Dissolved In Nothing” which is recorded in their own rehearsal room by Marco Marini (ex Doggo). In the 2005 the band release “Cursed EP”; it’s a split vinyl with Mind Snare (veteran death metal band) released by Sardinian label Rapture Asylum Productions. In 2007/2008 the band play many live shows and even find then time to record 6 new killing tracks at Marco Marini’s studio in Sassari for the new debut CD “Under Ashes Of Wicked” ( released by Rapture Asylum Productions). Once the new record is out and hopefully drawing in more fan’s of WORSTENEMY, the band started to self promote their material hoping to find a record company. In 2013 they sign with Wormholedeath Records and release their debut album “Revelation”.

“Cursed” – 2005, EP
“Under Ashes of Wicked” – 2009, EP

Minotaur- Beast of Nations

German underground teutonic thrash legends Minotaur are back with a new studio effort. This release gave us a pure old school devastation with same old no-bullshit attitude as before, which is one of the virtues of these legends.

This is one of the bands that stayed true to their roots and themselves after all these years, and that`s almost a rarity today in 2016. What we have here are four songs based on punk and early speed metal influences with characteristic riffs that are heartwarming for every old school thrash headbanger.

Influences from Metallica`s seminal debut Kill `em all are highly recognizable, but in this case it`s not a bad thing at all, because those influences are just a references and some kind of tribute to their idols and pioneers of this genre, not a impudent copy or plagiarism.

Andi Richwien`s Petrozza-like screaming voice is strong and convincing as before, and it remained maybe my favorite thing about this legendary band. Production is done by old school standards, and it can only be a great thing.

This music deserve that natural organic sound and it has to be raw, because this is an old school band. It`s nothing spectacular about this production, but it suits these songs perfectly, which is really important. Only bad thing about this release are arrangements, but honestly, they were never a bright spot of this band. Anyway, if you are a hungry old school thrash banger, this release is for you.

 Rating Album: 8,5/10

Mateja CveticaninRating album: SVENTEVITH

Mateja Cveticanin as a tall creature which sees and hears everything, and that`s one of the most important things in this fight for our (rock`n`roll) world. I`m dedicated to music in every possible way.
