FALLEN ARISE, formed in 2009, released their second full length album “Adeline” in October 2015, via Rock Of Angels Records (aka ROAR), combining a theatrical atmosphere with a progressive approach and a heavy-metal-alike heaviness. The album was realized in the collaboration with an ensemble of 40 renowned musicians from the National Opera, the Athens State Orchestra, the NERIT Orchestra and the Piraeus Concert Band. The five-headed beast that is BEAR MACE was born suckling from the same venomous tit that sourced lifeblood to the likes of BOLT THROWER, MASSACRE and DEATH.
Little is known about Chicago’s BEAR MACE or the identities of its members. The band’s origins date back to 2012, when vocalist Lord Devourer and guitarist Crossbow Death became engaged in a heated debate about the use of guns during grizzly bear attacks on schools (Devourer was in favor of giving the bears guns; Crossbow suggested a 24-hour background check first). Just before blood was shed, the two decided on a more productive, yet equally violent, outlet for their frustrations.
Sence BEAR MACE was born, and the two men proceeded to record a demo tape of intense, destructive riffs and snarled vocals rooted deeply in old-school death metal. These tracks eventually saw release as the Kodiak Killers“limited-edition cassette via GypsyBlood Records.
Finding themselves suddenly in demand and hungry for human flesh, BEAR MACE scoured the streets and sewers of Chicago until finding three musicians demented and desperate enough to join the fold. Eventually, the band recruited guitarist Mike Cirrhosis, bassist Steevil Dead, and drummer Garry Napalm. The newly rounded-out lineup has since become one of the most relentless live acts in the nation’s most violent city.
The band members:
Lord Devourer – Vocals
Crossbow Death – Guitar
Mike Cirrhosis – Guitar
Steevil Dead – Bass
Garry Napalm – Drums

Former Black Sabbath keyboardist Geoff Nicholls has passed away this morning, after a battle with lung cancer. He was 68 years old.
The newswere confirmed by Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, who wrote this about his former bandmate:
“I’m so saddened to hear the loss of one of my dearest and closest friends Geoff Nicholls. He’s been suffering for a while now with lung cancer and he lost his battle this morning. Geoff and I have always been very close and he has been a real true friend to me and supported me all the way for nearly 40 years. I will miss him dearly and he will live in my heart until we meet again. Rest in peace, my dear friend.”
Also bassist Geezer Butler added this: “Very sad to hear of old friend and Black Sabbath keyboard player Geoff Nicholls passing. RIP Geoff.”
Nicholls, who played keyboards on all of Black Sabbath albums between 1980 and 1995 and toured with them, was reportedly in remission from cancer at the time of his death but succumbed to the side effects of chemotherapy.
Geoff Nicholls first appearance was on a Black Sabbath album was on 1980’s “Heaven And Hell”. His main role with Black Sabbth was on the keyboardist, He also played some rhythm guitar at concerts. He was not always being credited as a full member of the band. Geoff Nicholls rarely appeared on stage during shows and would instead, play on the side of the stage or backstage.
He’s involvement with the band ended when Adam Wakeman member of Ozzy Osbourne‘s solo band, was chosen to play keyboards during 2004 and 2005 tours as part of Ozzfest.
He also had role of playeing as keyboards with former singer Tony Martin of Black Sabbath, in his band Tony Martine’s Headless Cross, and also performed on both of Martin‘s solo albums.
Before joining Black Sabbath, the famous keyboardist was a member of the NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) with band Quartz, whose debut album recorede in 1977 was produced by Iommi. In the late 60s and early 70s. Geoff had played lead guitar for the Birmingham band Johnny Neal and the Starliners.

About the Frantic Amber:
FRANTIC AMBER is a melodic death metal band with members from four different countries (Sweden, Denmark, Japan and Colombia). Their sound is a intense mix of metal filled, with heavy riffs and soaring melodies combined with aggressive vocals. The songs are filled with contrasts between melodic parts and heaviness and are touched by a twisted and deranged atmosphere.
Since the line-up was solidified in 2010, the band has been busy playing over 50 live shows including the successful gigs at Sweden Rock Festival, Metaltown, Rockstad Falun, two tours to Russia and winning the Swedish Wacken Metal Battle 2012 which lead to a gig at Wacken Open Air. The Sweden Rock Festival gig was recorded in its whole and broadcasted twice on the national radio channel P3 Rock Live during 2011 and 2012.
Their debut single “Wrath of Judgement” (2010) made a strong impression on the metal scene when it for an unknown band received over 100,000 views on YouTube within a year. The video paved the way for the international digital release of the band’s debut EP “Wrath of Judgement” (2011).
FRANTIC AMBER kicked off the year of 2012 with a live performance on TV at the “P3 Guld 2012” Awards. The event is P3’s summary of last year’s top Swedish music and was broadcasted on national TV and radio channels in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.
Between gigs they released the single “Bleeding Sanity” with a music video in the beginning of that summer. They then ended the year with another single “Ghost” as a Christmas present to fans before the band locked themselves in the rehearsal room for some hard work and preparations for the full-length debut album planned for 2013.

About the Pokerface:
Pokerface are female fronted thrash/death metal band from Russia. Formed in 2013 we have 2 releases: ”CD Terror is the law”, CD ”Divide and Rule”. We have big experience supporting famous bands as well as long touring in EU.
POKERFACE shared the stage with such famous European bands such as: Sodom, Onkel Tom, Sister Sin,Knorkator. Kreator, Megadeth and many more.
In September 2014, Dmitry (bass) joined the team. After a number of serious disagreements with the guitarist Dietrich, the band made a decision that he should leave the group. Soon POKERFACE found a new guitarist Maniac and finally had focused on its studio and concert activities. Everyone has idols and POKERFACE – is not an exception. The band is looking up to such stars of American and German thrash metal, as Slayer, Testament, Sodom, Kreator.
The music with speed heavy riffs, English lyrics and brutal vocals – this is the very style, which symbolizes real old school thrash metal.
In the Spring of 2015, POKERFACE arranged Russian tour with Brazilian icon Sepultura to support the EP “Terror is the law”. Right after the Summer tour with Overkill, Claustrofobia, Children of Bodom and Vader, the band presented the internet single “Kingdom of Hate”.
At the beginning of Autumn 2015 POKERFACE released the debut album “Divide And Rule”, which was supported during Global Technocratic Balkan Tour with Polish band Thy Disease in October 2015. After that the band played some more concerts on the same stage with Megadeth, Kreator and Infected Rain.
At the end of the year Nick (guitar) made up his mind to leave the lineup, though he stayed as a songwriter. Vadim Whitevad took his place and then POKERFACE played several shows in Russia with Death DTA, Sadist and Thy Disease. In the Spring of 2016 the band arranged the “Step into Inferno tour” which took place in Poland, Serbia, Croatia, Romania and Hungary. Unfortunately, for some reasons the frontwoman Delirium couldn’t join the trip, so during the tour Alexandra LadyOwl took her place, the place of the lead vocal for the POKERFACE. After the tour was finished, the band decided to make some more changes in the lineup: Xen Ritter replaced Maniac on guitar and Alexandra LedyOwl became the frontwoman. Now POKERFACE is working for their third album.

HALCYON WAY are set to begin the recording process for the follow-up release to 2014’s Billboard Charting album, ”Conquer”.
The band will be heading to Audiohammer Studios in Orlando, Florida on January 27th to complete the drum tracking, with producer Mark Lewis (Devildriver, Death Angel, Whitechapel) at the helm. This is the band’s first recording with new drummer Aaron Baumoel and the record should be released by Fall of 2017.
“The band is super hyped about our new material. We wrote about 27 songs, somehow pared it down to 17, and we will choose from that group what makes the final cut. The new songs are very heavy, very catchy, and very thrashy. We’ve spent a lot of time on the road over the last few years and we think they’re going to go over great not only on the album but live as well. Aaron has been killing it in preproduction and we think the fans are going to love what he brings to the table as a drummer,” said guitarist Jon Bodan.
Conquer, the band’s most successful release to date landed on the Billboard Heatseeker charts at #41 upon release, and the first single/video from the album, “Web Of Lies” spent 6 weeks in the CMJ radio Hard Music Top Ten.
The band is fresh off of a December tour of Russia with SABATON, and has also hit the road with bands such as QUEENSRYCHE, SAXON, FATES WARNING, SKID ROW, and many others, playing to fans across 4 continents.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia and founded in 2001, HALCYON WAY is the ultimate example of blue-collar work ethic, self-reliant bootstrapping, and hard work & perseverance in spite of nearly insurmountable odds. The band has released three albums worldwide through Nightmare Records/Sony RED, and performed in a dozen countries and counting. HALCYON WAY‘s sound cannot be neatly slotted into any sub-category of metal; but it can be described as heavy, catchy, technical, and above all, focused on mature songcraft. Watch the official video “Web Of Lies” here:
Lead Guitar/Vocals:Steve Brogden Drums:Norm Leggio Bass Guitar: Don Lauder
Hometown: San Diego, CA
Genre: Thrash metal
1.How the band started?
Back in 2012, long time friend Steve Brogden asked me, Don Lauder, if I was interested in slinging some Thrash Metal bass for him and I said yes, of course. At the time, Steve was playing in the band Cage with drummer Norm Leggio and guitarist Dave Garcia. Since Cage was at a temporary pause at the moment, we decided to see if Norm and Dave wanted to jam with us. They did and we wrote some songs and got Nukem rolling. Shortly after, life happens and Dave decided to step down from Nukem. We’ve played out as a 3 piece band which is great, but every now and then our really good friend, Laura Christine, steps in and makes us a 4 piece, which is better in a lot of ways.
2.Which band is your role model?
Wow, I don’t know if I can narrow it down to just 1 band. All my favorites have unique qualities that I try and make into my own. I love their music of course, but their personal endeavors as a band influences me as well. I’ll just name a few: Overkill for their unending drive of always delivering the music. MetallicA for their tenacity of being at the top of the Metal food chain. TestAmenT for their perseverance.
3.What do you think about today’s metal scene?
The Metal scene on the global scale is bigger than ever! The number of sub genres of Metal is insane and there seems to be more and more popping up each year. I find that totally awesome and inspiring. The fact that there are that many Metalheads out there playing music is just a beautiful thing.
4.How would you describe in one sentence your work?
Nukem’s music is just straight up Old School Thrash Metal. The kind we all grew up with and loved. With this project we decided to have fun and play what comes natural to us. Nothing forced and nothing fake.
5.Why did you decide to play this musical direction?
I think Steve, Norm, and myself were all on the same page with our music careers. We’ve all been in bands that pushed the envelope in the ways of technical Metal. Looking back to those times, I think we realized that we just wanted to Thrash it up again.
6.Where would you most like to play a concert?
I would love to play Waken Open Air. I think that’s my Holy Grail for venues. But not to take away from anywhere else. I’ll play any place, any time. I’ll play your backyard party!
7.Do you think that the metal festivals are enough visited?
Here in the USA? No because we don’t have enough of them. I get really envious when I see all the awesome festivals happening elsewhere in the world.
8.What are you listening to the most right now?
All the awesome new Metal that’s been released in 2016! This year has really sucked in just about everything but Metal releases. It seems like everyone and they’re grandma delivered the goods this year. New releases from Metal Church, Death Angel, Flotsam & Jetsam, TestAmenT, Opeth, Meshuggah, Anthrax, and I have to say that I am looking forward to this new MetallicA.
9.What would you say to your fans?
Guys! Thanks for all your support and for even listening to Nukem. We really can’t have this much fun without all of you. I can speak for the rest of the band when I say, we want you guys to be apart of the Nukem Family!
10.What are your plans for the future?
It’s 12 noon for me right now, so maybe lunch? haha Well, the album just released in September so we are going to continue to push the hell out of it and at the same time, we have 3 songs in the works for album #2. So it will be a good balance of that along with making new friends and getting ourselves to a venue near you!

Bungler is a three-piece band from Buffalo, NY that’s been inspired by chaotic metalcore and punk rooted ethics. Since 2014 they have prided themselves on keeping their music and their message as real as possible. Touring constantly for over two years and still full of drive, they’ve shared the stage with a variety of acts such as Great American Ghost, Darke Complex, Until We Are Ghosts, and Yüth Forever both across the US and Canada. Often the “odd dog” on the bill, Bungler truly leaves their mark on enjoying their shows and exposing their raw energy no matter what genre or type of concert. Knowing how important a live set is to a band, they make sure their sets showcase how chaotic and sporadic their music is. Their two latest releases Never Grows and There’s No Setting Sun Where We Are were both self-released and brought the band new fans spanning all genres.
