Many words come to mind when you hear the name Cannibal Corpse, but one truly defines the soon-to-be thirty-year death metal veterans: Unstoppable. Produced by Erik Rutan (Hate EternalGoatwhore).

Red Before Black” serves to not only reiterate this but to once more raise the stakes, making it very clear who sets the standard when it comes to always compelling music that is equally brutal and complex. Moreover, the band have pushed themselves again, ensuring that it stands out from their catalog.

Zev Deans stated this:

After crawling through abandoned buildings, crashing our van into a tree in the middle of a scene, witnessing a real stabbing and drenching ourselves in fake blood in a derelict park at 5am, we can safely say this was a proper introduction to the slasher genre for Panorama Programming. We brought a slab of fresh meat back from a rotting metropolis, and we’re serving it to you raw. Come and get it.

Impureza premiere and full streaming of the new album upcoming album ”La Caída De Tonatiuh”is available, the album will be out on November 10th!

French/Spanish death metal band Impureza premiere and full streaming of the new album upcoming album ”La Caída De Tonatiuh” is available, the album will be out on November 10th, via Season Of Mist Records.

The band stated this about the new album:

“Seven years have passed since the release of the first album, ”La Iglesia Del Odio”. After almost a decade of evolution. Impureza is above all a project of boundless passion and a demonstration of limitless determination. Without denying our Iberian origins, and with the initial spirit of the concept, we spill our guts out on this album. We are proud to highlight our roots. Time seems endless, friends, but we are now looking forward to present our new album in its entirety. We hope ”La Caída De Tonatiuh” will make you enter and guide you through our universe! Exitus acta probat – the end justifies the means!”

A great civilization is not conquered until it has destroyed itself from within’ (Ariel & Will Durant). Enter the Hispanic metal universe of Impureza. For more than ten years, the Franco-Spanish conquistadors have been pioneering their unique style, which combines Iberian soundscapes with brutal death metal.

Impureza’s new ground-breaking second album, ‘La Caída De Tonatiuh‘ has been recorded and produced by Sylvain Biguet, who is known for his work with Klone and Trepalium among others and the album was mastered by tripleGrammy award winner Bob Katz, which resulted in a perfect blend of sonic extremes with the traditional instrumentation to achieve a warm yet aggressive organic sound.

Impureza express the traditional part of their musical heritage through the use of acoustic folk guitars, flamenco rhythm patterns, and exclusively Spanish lyrics. This concept derives from the interest of founding member Lionel Cano Muñozand his “compañero” Esteban Martín, who are both of Spanish origin and draw inspiration from their identity.

Esteban Martín adds his multiple vocal facets that range from death metal growling to clean singing inspired by the sadly late gitano-legend CAMARÓN DE LA ISLA among others. In a similar way, Lionel Cano Muñoz shifts between the aggression and power of his 7-string electric guitar and the intricacy of the Spanish flamenco guitar. This is backed up by Florian Saillard, who complements the electric string section with his 6-string bass and the flamenco parts with an acoustic bass guitar. Even more string power is added live by rhythm guitarist Olivier Hanoulle. Drummer Guilhem Augeis perfectly complementing the band with his unique rhythm patterns and Hispanic groove.

Impureza have been amused to find the nickname “French Nile” being attached to them at times for combining the ferocity of death metal with “exotic” sounds. The band’s influences range from Behemoth and Morbid Angel to PACO DE LUCÍA.

The Spanish-French outfit gained a reputation of an excellent live act, which was well earned by capturing audiences across Europe alongside acts such as GojiraSuffocationCattle Decapitation, and Benighted as well as performing at prestigious festivals such as HellfestMotocultor, and Wacken Open Air, the latter as winners of the W:O:A Metal Battle France.

Impureza created a quick buzz within the underground metal scene with the release of three demos, ” Y Correra Tu Sangre” (2005), ”Ruina De La Penitencia”  (2006), and ”En El Desierto De La Creencia” (2007) – all of which were compiled under the heading ”Inquisition Demos” in 2007 , as well as two split-contributions on the ”Tworzenia, Resurrezione, Démence” (2006) and ”Reincremation” (2007) samplers. These prepared the ground for the band’s acclaimed debut full-length, ”La Iglesia Del Odio” (2010), which considerably widened their international following – a trend that continued with the following 2013 EP ”El Nuevo Reino De Los Ahorcados / Leyenda Negra”.

Taking their time to refine their self-developed style and to come to terms with several changes in the line-up, Impureza are ready to spearhead Hispanic extreme metal around the globe.  ”La Caída De Tonatiuh” is a proud statement of musical identity and cosmopolitan embrace of the world at the same time. Be prepared to welcome this Spanish conquest via a unique new vision in metal.

SepticFlesh are painting an apocalyptic vision and make full use of their impressive musical palette consisting of death metal and orchestral colours on their tenth full-length  ”Codex Omega”.

From their alpha EP ”Temple of the Lost Race” that was released one year after their founding in 1990, the Greek musicians have pushed the limits of the metal genre and continued to explore new sonic path with every following release from their debut album ”Mystic Places of Dawn” (1994) to the stunning ‘Sumerian Daemons’ (2003), which have in the meantime all been re-issued by Season of Mist.

Yet  SepticFlesh had clearly come into their own sound when they unleashed their celebrated comeback album after a five-year hiatus that re-charged their artistic batteries. ”Communion” (2008) offered a well-balanced amalgamation of metal elements that were freely drawn from the darker side of the genre including death, black, and gothic metal with epic orchestral arrangements. This symphonic excellence was based on guitarist Christos Antoniou bringing to bear the fruits of his academic studies of classical composition, which he passed with honours and distinction.

With a clear musical compass to navigate, SepticFlesh continued to explore their sound and the compositional possibilities of this new-found metal continent. ”The Great Mass” (2011) and ”Titan” (2014) saw the Greeks evolving at fast speed and at the same time gathering adherents as well as critical praise in ever growing numbers. Extended touring on both sides of the Atlantic and performances at about every important festival further consolidated the bands burgeoning status.

Although the biblical omega marks the end, SepticFlesh on the contrary are reaching their current peak with ”Codex Omega”, an album that clearly witnesses the Greek visionaries having come to maturity and expert craftsmanship in every sense.

SEPTICFLESH collector's box version 1

Septicflesh are the undisputable masters of symphonic death metal and ”Codex Omega”is the perfect proof for this bold statement.

Altarage streaming and premiere of their album ”Endinghent” is available today in it’s full, album is going to be out tomorrow on October 13th!

Spanish Death metal band Altarage will release new album  ”Endinghent” tomorrow on October 13th via Season of Mist Records, streaming of the album is available today.

Statement of the band about the new album:

“Thus, the trumpets of failure are finally blowing. The sound of doom is crushingly deafening as we are dragged into the worthlessness. Give up. No hope. Endinghent!”

Altarage deliver exactly what the underground buzz around them promised.

Their second full-length, ”Endinghent” is bristling with black and dissonant death metal fury that immediately evokes a plethora of sinister images in the brain. Their relentless soul-crushing sound is sending the scared mind on overdrive. Little is known about this secretive death metal collective, except their origin from Bilbao, the largest city in the Basque country of Spain.

In 2015, Altarage unleashed a demo simply entitled after its year of release, ”MMXV” generated massive interest in the extreme metal scene around the globe. This was followed by the debut album ”NIHL” (2016), which received high praise from critics and fans alike.

Altarage return to mercilessly drag you into an abyss of nightmares and twisted meanings. ”Endinghent”, in their own words, calls the doom inhabitants to reach a whole nothing. Welcome to this new dimension of sonic darkness.

Rather than meticulously plan things out or stick rigidly to any kind of template, when it comes to writing, The Black Dahlia Murder prefer to let things happen organically in the hands of guitarist Brian Eschbach  who is a  co-founded of the band with front-man Trevor Strnad in 2001  and new recruit Brandon Ellis (Arsis, ex-Cannabis Corpse).”Nightbringers” is rich with dynamic riffs that are at once fresh and classic The Black Dahlia Murder, resulting in a collection that shifts through many moods and effortlessly incorporates various elements of extreme metal. While Strnad explores a variety of themes and ideas with his lyrics, they are united by the album’s title, which embraces a tenet that has been central to The Black Dahlia Muder‘s output since the very beginning.

Vocalist  Trevor Strnad about the death metal and the new upcoming album and about the new song:

Death metal and nighttime are synonymous to me,” we are the rulers of the darkened hours that the Christian good fears. A lot of archaic ideas that are still upheld – such as marriage and monogamy – came from Christianity, whether people want to acknowledge it or not, and to me, death metal has always been bucking that. It’s ‘being-the-villain music’, because we’re the enemy of Christianity, the enemy of all that is good and traditional. Death metal is for free thinkers, it’s for showing people the path to inner strength and operating on your own will, instead of being told what to do and living in fear, and songs like the title track and ”Kings Of The Nightworld” are about leading a legion of awakened minds into battle.

Track list:
1. Widowmaker
