The Black Dahlia Murder reveals details for the new upcoming album ”Nightbringers”!

On October 6th, The Black Dahlia Murder will release their eighth full-length ”Nightbringers” via Metal Blade Records.

Rather than meticulously plan things out or stick rigidly to any kind of template, when it comes to writing, The Black Dahlia Murder prefer to let things happen organically in the hands of guitarist Brian Eschbach  who is a  co-founded of the band with front-man Trevor Strnad in 2001  and new recruit Brandon Ellis (Arsis, ex-Cannabis Corpse).”Nightbringers” is rich with dynamic riffs that are at once fresh and classic The Black Dahlia Murder, resulting in a collection that shifts through many moods and effortlessly incorporates various elements of extreme metal. While Strnad explores a variety of themes and ideas with his lyrics, they are united by the album’s title, which embraces a tenet that has been central to The Black Dahlia Muder‘s output since the very beginning.

Vocalist  Trevor Strnad about the death metal and the new upcoming album:

Death metal and nighttime are synonymous to me,” we are the rulers of the darkened hours that the Christian good fears. A lot of archaic ideas that are still upheld – such as marriage and monogamy – came from Christianity, whether people want to acknowledge it or not, and to me, death metal has always been bucking that. It’s ‘being-the-villain music’, because we’re the enemy of Christianity, the enemy of all that is good and traditional. Death metal is for free thinkers, it’s for showing people the path to inner strength and operating on your own will, instead of being told what to do and living in fear, and songs like the title track and ”Kings Of The Nightworld” are about leading a legion of awakened minds into battle.

Science of Sleep: Official Video for “Condemned to Burn” Released!

German Bruisers SCIENCE OF SLEEP have released the official video for “Condemned to Burn,” a track from last year’s ”Hellmouth album (Bastardized Recordings). Check out the video at this location.
The video was filmed at the band’s album release show and features extreme live action with some backstage hilarity. Produced by Maik Kleinert (Filmmaker & Photographer).
Hellmouth was released November 25 on Bastardized Recordings.
The new album combines elements of death metal, deathcore and not-so-subtle black and dark influences. The music features the band’s trademark rapid-fire brutality and is full of blast-beats and heavy breakdowns. Lyrically and conceptually, the album address a variety of topics, reaching from the Hell mythology, fascism and the darkest parts of the human nature.
Hellmouth was recorded with Simon Hawemann (Sludge Studios, War From A Harlots Mouth) in Berlin and mixed by Christian Schwarz (Schwarzmusik). The mastering was done by Andy Marsh (Thy Art is Murder). The artwork is a collaboration of Robert Borbas (Grindesign) and Sin Eater“.

The Apex formed in August of 2013.

They are a collective of individuals from the Ontario metal community, whom over the years have come together from past bands such as, Closed Casket Funeral, Dismata, Blood Shot Eye, The Coalition Design, and Corprophemia to form The Apex.

In a true culmination of talent, dedication, and timing, this group has created a unique hometown sound that is now being called “Windsor Ghetto Tech”. The brutal sonic assault of their music coupled with the emotional reckless abandonment of their live performance, have drawn stanch comparisons to Meshuggah and classic Dillinger Escape Plan rounded out with a distinctly Canadian flair. To add influence, vocalist Darren M. suffers from Neurogenic Stammering, which effects his speech where the brain won’t tell the mouth what to say so he’s unable to carry on a normal conversation, but for some reason he’s able to scream all the lyrics live and that is how he gets to express himself vocally with the band.

In July, 2014 they entered Shark Tank Productions studio in Windsor, Ontario to begin recording their debut self-titled full length album, “The Apex”. They hired engineer Nick Kinnish of Serafina Productions (Johnny Truent, Architects, and more) to aid them in capturing their sound accurately. In November, 2014 they completed their recording and announced the independent release date of February 21st, 2015. In 2016, the band entered Empire Recording Studios to record their next release, the EP ‘Underbelly’ set to be unleashed in August.

This band is no stranger to hitting the pavement to support the music they love to make. In their 15+ years of experience creating music in previous bands, they’ve been support on tour for bands like: Cephalic Carnage, All Shall Perish, Despised Icon, Cryptopsy, Today Is The Day, Killitorous, Erimha and Ion Dissonance to name a few. In previous bands they’ve also shared the stage on festivals with bands like: SOD, Venom, Obituary, Cradle Of Filth, Earth Crisis, God Forbid, Skinless, Beneath The Massacre and more to crowds up to 7500+ in North America.

As their current lineup “The Apex”, they have already invested in a mid-sized tour bus and have began to book many shows and festivals across Canada for 2016.
