Archspire stream of entire new album ”Relentless Mutation” is available for free!

Archspire are unveiling their complete new album, ”Relentless Mutation”, which has been scheduled for release on September 22nd.

The band stated this about the album:

“Relentless Mutation is out now! This album is a collaboration between ourselves and producer Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation) and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, the response has been overwhelming. Pick up a copy, stream it, check out a live show, buy a shirt, however you want to support us, but most importantly: Stay Tech!”

Archspire have previously released the artwork of ”Relentless Mutation”, which has been created by renowned artist Eliran Kantor and can be viewed together with the track-list below.

Track list:

1. Involuntary Doppelgänger (3:46)
2. Human Murmuration (4:13)
3. Remote Tumour Seeker (4:01)
4. Relentless Mutation (4:35)
5. The Mimic Well (4:05)
6. Calamus Will Animate (3:50)
7. A Dark Horizontal (6:10)

ARCHSPIRE by Alex Morgan

Welcome to first class technical death metal madness. Machinegun vocals rattle remorselessly over a furious flurry of arpeggios, scales, and everything else that the two string wizards of Archspire can pick at break-finger speed out their guitars. If this sounds hardly human at the level of technical execution, the Gatling-style hyper-drumming pushing these monstrous compositions forward is adding to the alien impression. It cannot even be a question that the Canadians have outdone themselves with their third full-length, ”Relentless Mutation”.

This album is simply insane in a most excellent way. The level of musicianship that Archspire offer, will leave even tech death fans drooling. Yet the outfit from Vancouver in British Columbia is bringing an important extra to the table, the rare ability to write great songs. ”Relentless Mutation” is not just another compilation of outstanding musicianship, but the songs come with recognisable patterns that make sense in the greater conceptual framework of the album. And a clever use of contrasts leaves moments of clarity for the listener to take a breath and get ready for the next assault.

Archspire exploded onto the scene in the year 2009 – after an earlier prelude under the moniker Defenestrated. The band grew out of the rich Canadian scene for technical extremes that includes illustrious names such as Gorguts or Beyond Creation. Yet  Archspire  set out to take the sound to the next level from the start as their debut album ”All Shall Align” (2011) made clear, which immediately received critical comparison with the scene’s spearheads like Obscura.

The band developed a lyrical concept revolving around a dystopian science fiction universe, which was expanded on their sophomore full-length, ”The Lucid Collective” (2014) that witnessed Archspire gaining widespread international recognition as one of the hottest names within the tech death community and beyond.

With ‘Relentless Mutation’, the Canadians are pushing the limits of their genre even further than before on all levels. Archspire come crushing like a whirlwind to free ears and minds from pre-conceived notions about technical death metal. Time to leave your shelter and face the tempest. This is the future.

The cover of ”Relentless Mutation” has been painted by renowned artist Eliran Kantor already well-known in the metal world for his works for TestamentAtheist, and Hate Eternal among others.

Archspire released new crushing song from their upcoming album ”Relentless Mutation” called ”Human Murmuration”!

Archspire are premiering the third mind-blowing new track taken from their forthcoming album ”Relentless Mutation”, which has been scheduled for release on September 22nd via Season of Mist Records!

The band stated this about the song:

“Human Murmuration” is the second track off our upcoming release ‘Relentless Mutation’, and also the second song we wrote for the album. This spacy, sometimes ethereal jam comes with some pretty groove-heavy parts to balance things out. It was one of those songs that took a long time to put together, but once we were in studio listening to the final version, it became clear that this song had something different. We are looking forward to sharing the full album with you on September 22nd through Season Of Mist! Stay Tech!”

BIO:

The Apex formed in August of 2013.

They are a collective of individuals from the Ontario metal community, whom over the years have come together from past bands such as, Closed Casket Funeral, Dismata, Blood Shot Eye, The Coalition Design, and Corprophemia to form The Apex.

In a true culmination of talent, dedication, and timing, this group has created a unique hometown sound that is now being called “Windsor Ghetto Tech”. The brutal sonic assault of their music coupled with the emotional reckless abandonment of their live performance, have drawn stanch comparisons to Meshuggah and classic Dillinger Escape Plan rounded out with a distinctly Canadian flair. To add influence, vocalist Darren M. suffers from Neurogenic Stammering, which effects his speech where the brain won’t tell the mouth what to say so he’s unable to carry on a normal conversation, but for some reason he’s able to scream all the lyrics live and that is how he gets to express himself vocally with the band.

In July, 2014 they entered Shark Tank Productions studio in Windsor, Ontario to begin recording their debut self-titled full length album, “The Apex”. They hired engineer Nick Kinnish of Serafina Productions (Johnny Truent, Architects, and more) to aid them in capturing their sound accurately. In November, 2014 they completed their recording and announced the independent release date of February 21st, 2015. In 2016, the band entered Empire Recording Studios to record their next release, the EP ‘Underbelly’ set to be unleashed in August.

TOUR EXPERIENCE
This band is no stranger to hitting the pavement to support the music they love to make. In their 15+ years of experience creating music in previous bands, they’ve been support on tour for bands like: Cephalic Carnage, All Shall Perish, Despised Icon, Cryptopsy, Today Is The Day, Killitorous, Erimha and Ion Dissonance to name a few. In previous bands they’ve also shared the stage on festivals with bands like: SOD, Venom, Obituary, Cradle Of Filth, Earth Crisis, God Forbid, Skinless, Beneath The Massacre and more to crowds up to 7500+ in North America.

As their current lineup “The Apex”, they have already invested in a mid-sized tour bus and have began to book many shows and festivals across Canada for 2016.
